Advantages and disadvantages of Fluoroplastics submerged pumps

In some industries transport acid, alkali and other corrosive, oxidizing medium, such as hydrochloric acid, metal material pump is more expensive, cost-effective. At this time it can choose fluoroplastic long axis submerged pump.

Fluoroplastic submerged pump, impeller partially immersed in the medium, occupied a small area, no shaft seal so no leakage phenomenon. Over-current parts are made of nonmetallic materials (PP,PVDF,PPH, FEP,ultrahigh molecular weight etc.). The materials are used in different media. The corrosion resistance is good and the structure is simple.

Fluoroplastic submerged pump can transport liquid without filling liquid, easy to maintain and repair, and can replace the traditional self-priming pump.

If the medium contains solid particles or corroded liquid which is easy to crystallize, the cantilever type fluoroplastic liquid subpump can be used, without shaft sleeve and sheath, so that the operation will not be unstable because of wear and tear.

Because of the strength of the material, the underwater length of the fluoroplastic submerged pump is limited. In general, the length of the liquid pump is less than 1.5 m. If the bottom pit or storage tank is more than 1.5 m deep, the length can be increased by using a lengthened pipe. But the starting liquid level must drown the impeller position.

In addition, because the material is mainly nonmetallic, the temperature of transport medium is also limited, generally in-20 ℃ ~ 80 ℃. The hardness of solid particles also has a certain effect on pump life.
